Holiday Gift Guide for the conscious home lover

The Holiday season is here! This year more than ever, is a year where one would want to be on the forefront with gifts as all shops are faced with the challenge of getting goods from our suppliers. I know, it is a non-jolly way to start this guide, but we might as well bite into the sour apple right away, as you would say in Swedish.

Now to the joyful part. Gifts for your loved ones. With our gift guide for four different persona, we are positive you will find a gift for everyone on your list this year!

The cook

Does the person on your list enjoy spending time in the kitchen cooking up wholesome meals or bake yummy goods? Great! The positivity rate of them liking our wool felt trivets for cooling down cakes and the linen coffee filters for that accompanying cup of coffee is pretty high! If they are into gourmet oils or homemade dressings for their outstanding salads, the silky smooth, black matte vessel will bring them great pleasure. We believe that there is nothing better than homemade bread drizzled with a high quality olive oil and sprinkled with flaky sea salt. So please strongly consider our mini pinch bowl and wooden spoon set as a gift for the bread connoisseur. Finally, every great home chef still needs to clean up after themselves, unfortunately. Our sets with linen dish cloths and tea towels are truly fantastic and reviews state that they are “the best dish cloths ever”. That is because linen has the unique propriety of being super absorbent and odour resistant. These will immediately be loved once they are put into use.

The homebody

Who in your life can often be found curled up on the couch, or simply just enjoys staying home? As an everyday luxury piece, a wool throw is a fantastic gift for the homebody. The soft and warm wool is a beautiful companion on chilly evenings and will be a trusted friend for many years. Pair that with beeswax candles and candle holders and you have the perfect recipe for a heart warming moment. Layered textiles are essentials for the homebody and we are certain a cushion or two, like our striped cushions in off white or clay organic cotton, will be an appreciated gift as well!

The childlike one

He or she who has maintained their childlike spirit would most likely love our little rabbit in white oak. It is the perfect balance of playfulness and sophistication and a leather string is included should one want to hang it in a window, or anywhere else really. If they adore colour, then we are certain the colourful bud vases would be well received, or our wood frames for colourful and playful prints. Every childlike spirit also enjoys a good picnic and our Koppa baskets are just perfect for that! Decent in size, it holds everything from plates and cups, to lemonade and baked goods.

The minimalist

Being Nordic or North American, the seeker of a simple lifestyle commonly also prefers a less cluttered home with neutral colours. Our white and black Boulder vases will complement any colour of flowers and certainly speak to the heart of a minimalist. The same goes for our Inka Kana pots in small and large sizes. In the Nordic countries we blend minimalism with cozy layers of textiles in order to not make it too stark, so the addition of an off white wool throw will soften up any minimalist space beautifully. So will the checkered bath and hand towels made in the softest organic cotton. Along the same lines, adding wood warms up a space as well. The oak tray helps with that while keeping things collected and tidy at the same time!

From the Lagom family to yours, Happy Holidays / God Jul!
